Caffeine – TV News – December 18th Edition

Happy Holidays, TV news aficionados! I can’t believe we’re at the end of yet another year of this column. I’ve enjoyed putting it together for you, and I hope you’ve found it useful! Since the next two Sundays are both holidays and I’ll be traveling and visiting family, Caffeine is going to go on a little hiatus – but don’t worry: I’ll be back on January 8th, 2017 (!) to catch you up on all the news we’ve missed!

Hulu has acquired British series National Treasure for the U.S. and will start streaming it on March 1st.

Emmy Rossum tweeted that she resolved her salary dispute, which presumably means that Shameless will be back, though that’s not official yet.

John Rogers will write and executive produce the Kingkiller Chronicle adaptation.

Steve Pink will direct the pilot of CMT’s His Wives and Daughters.

TNT is not moving forward with contemporary Civil War drama Civil.
