Bellevue Preview: Episode 7

[Warning: General spoilers ahead.]

After a few weeks of a slow roll toward the finale, this week’s Bellevue episode, the penultimate of the first season, barrels through a couple of pretty significant and surprising reveals.

bv 107-7

bv 107-8

Annie tells Peter about her encounter with the riddler, and who she thinks he is, and then starts to recall childhood memories that explain his disappearance from her life.

bv 107-3

bv 107-4

Peter uses that information to pursue his own investigative path, which is more about keeping Annie safe than resolving Jesse’s murder. Those flashbacks also inform her relationships, as she apologizes to Eddie, Brady, and Daisy about last week’s shenanigans. It may be too little, too late for Eddie, who’s ready to make a change for himself and Daisy, with or without Annie.

bv 107-2

bv 107-9

We get a clearer picture of what happened between Jesse’s beat down and death, as several pieces fall into place about players we’ve seen in different contexts. Sidebar on that: I’m still not clear whether Maggie survived her OD. Daisy gets herself into trouble again, and it turns out to be a big break in the identity of Jesse’s killer.

bv 107-11

Bellevue airs Mondays at 9pm on CBC. If you’ve missed an episode, they’re all online. If you’re not watching live, make sure you set those DVRs to run a little over just in case. Here are a couple of sneak peeks.
