Season 2 of The Vampire Diaries returned with a sonic boom last Thursday night, so what better way to celebrate “The Return” than with a new TVD Podcast?
Once again, I was joined by Vee of Vampire-Diaries.net, Lucia of Heroine TV, Lee of From My Side of the Moon and Connie of Blast Magazine to talk about every heart pounding moment of the Season 2 premiere.

Here are my thoughts on the episode!
Oh my God! What the hell just happened? I still have trouble wrapping my mind around everything that went down in this episode.
First Bite (He!): Damon looked like a little lost boy in this episode. Would it have really killed Elena to hug him instead of ripping his heart out? Clearly he was not stable, so why not play along??? But again, if she did, we wouldn’t have had our first big shocker of the night. Damon tried a new seduction technique: KILL the emo bro of the girl you love.
Watch out, little emo kids out there, if you whine too much, it is gonna snap your neck…
Second Bite: Holy crap!! No Alaric??? Why oh why?? What, did he take a vacation? Can I come?
Third Bite: Is Damon back to square 1? No more fun, sexy Damon? Just evil? Boo!!!!
Fourth Bite: Caroline, a vampire?? Now that’s what I’m talking about!!!!Poor Matt! The guy REALLY can’t catch a break… Maybe Katherine can cheer him up, she seems like just his type!Ha!
PREDICTIONS….HOO…
- Despite everything, I still think Damon can be redeemed just cause Stefan seems to be in charge now!(Hot)He won’t let history repeat itself.
-Alaric will get wasted with Damon. (Come on Team Blood and Beer!!!)

So I loved this! You gals are hilarious, just want to say that nearly everything I thought about whilst whatching this episode came up in the podcast and i actually physically nodded my head during some of your arguments.
Few quick points that I’d just like to agree/state:
1. Stefan is one sexy, scary badass. I love him but I’m so afraid that he is just going to snap one of these days (in his own stefan way) and it will all be because of Katherine.
2. Katherine is one sexy, scary badass. I’m pretty sure everything I was thinking about you covered, although, I will say this: I think she does love Stefan in some way. In Blood Brothers when she tells him that she loves him I think its true. I also think that the vulnerable side of her (it’s there somewhere!) is greatly connected to Stefan. In a very small way I think that she compelled him in the beginning because she was afraid that he might reject her. of course I’m sure she would have just killed him and move along but I think if she does have any link of humanity it’s connected to Stefan and maybe that’s why she “loves” him. Really she loves the connection to her humanity. In a very, very small way at least.
3. I’m in love with Damon. I also think that he’s not done fighting for Elena and I think he is totally going to try and show her that she is lying.
4. On that note, when Katherine tells Stefan that “hate sounds like the beginning of a love story, not the end of one” I definitely think its purposeful that Elena says that she hates Damon at the end of the episode… just saying.
Anywho, loved this, can’t wait for more!
