The Event is Coming

Are you excited for NBC‘s mysterious new show, The Event? The network is stoking viewer interest with not one but two websites. The official show site has the expected preview videos and character profiles, but also an Are You a Conspiracy Theorist? game (I am not, as it turns out), and a link to the official
The Event wiki
. And on The Event Is Coming, you’ll find the show creator Nick Wauters’s Revelations blog, a news blog, and fan message boards.

In addition to traditional production updates, the news blog features “clues” like this map of Mount Inostranka, Alaska. It’s a nicely-executed copy of Google Maps, and you can even zoom in on the mysterious facility – until you get to the point when the screen goes black and you’re given this message: “This level of detail is classified. All IPs using this site are being monitored.” The sidebar includes photos – an airplane, a mountain, a cruise ship, a Miami party – and news headlines. Click on the headlines to learn about President and First Lady Martinez, Director of National Intelligence Blake Sterling, and the Mount
Inostranka facility.

Intrigued yet? What exactly do you think is going on at Mount Inostranka? We’ll start to find out the answers – or, more likely, become more confused – when The Event premieres on September 20.
