Lost Review: What They Died For

Lost Review: What They Died For

In past episodes of this season’s Lost, each seems to be specific to the stories of one character or another. But this week focuses around everyone who is left.

A few peeks at some characters in the Reset that we haven’t seen yet, and another hint that we might see who Jack’s kid’s mom is. I still have no clue who it could be. Guessing it won’t be anyone we know leading this long tease out to no real ending.

Desmond is still on his crusade to open the eyes of the people who were supposed to be on the Island. And he turns himself in to find himself in the same holding cell as Sayid and Kate, and with Hugo’s help he buys them out of jail. Desmond and Kate head off to “a concert” which I have to assume is the benefit where Jack’s son is playing. All the other Island people in the reset seem to be gravitating toward that event.

Back on the Island, Jacob calls the final candidates (Jack, Sawyer, Kate and Hugo) to reveal why they were all brought to the island. He tells them why ALL OF THIS has happened. Someone has to protect the Island from the Man-in-Black/Smokey. He tells them about the light and Jack volunteers to protect the Island. Jacob baptizes Jack and tells him about the light, the heart of the Island.

Meanwhile Flocke and Linus head off on one final mission to get FLocke off the Island and kill anyone who stands in his way. Finally it is revealed that FLocke intends to not only leave, but to destroy the Island completely.

Next week is it. The End. It all comes down to this.

Until next week … Get Lost.
