The Best Years to Return in April!

Just yesterday, my post involved a TV viewing confession, when I admitted that I’m a fan of Criss Angel Mindfreak. As I was writing it, there was another show at the back of my mind, one that wasn’t so much a guilty pleasure, but rather a lonely one – I was the only person that I knew who was watching. What was it, you may ask? Canadian network Global TV’s The Best Years.

The series centered on Samantha Best, a foster child who lands a scholarship at Charles U, a fictitious Ivy League school in Boston, along with the friends and enemies she makes along the way. In a lot of ways, it reminded me of some of my faves growing up – Degrassi, Dawson’s Creek, and Felicity to name a few. It wasn’t groundbreaking or epic like many of the series I’m currently invested in, but the characters were interesting, and it had just the right dash of melodrama for me.

It’s been nearly 2 years since the first season concluded, and I’ve been looking everywhere to see when it would resume. Thanks to Diane at TV, eh?, I now know that Season 2 begins on Tuesday April 21 at 10 pm!

Did anyone else watch the first season of The Best Years? And will you be tuning in for Season 2?
