Last summer, I went to my first sci-fi/fantasy cons, and what an experience they were for this TV fan!
At Polaris 22 in July, I got the chance to see Torchwood’s Gareth David-Lloyd, Moonlight/Veronica Mars star Jason Dohring, and Dead Like Me’s Ellen Muth. In August, it was FanExpo 2008, where I attended a fantastic BSG panel with Edward James Olmos and Aaron Douglas, and discovered the world of Smallville after checking out a session with Michael Rosenbaum and Laura Vandervoort.
There are so many cons and TV festivals being announced; most recently, PaleyFest 09, which I want to check out some day. I’m hoping to return to both Polaris and Fan Expo this year, but my ultimate goal – San Diego Comicon!
So, any other TV lovers out there planning to hit the con circuit in 2009? And which ones would you recommend?

I wanted to go to Anime Expo this year, but I had some classes that got in the way. Definitely looking forward to SDCC however, and so should you! It was the first con I ever went to, and everyone told me I was spoiled to have such an amazing first experience. I can’t compare it to AE or PaleyFest or FE, but SDCC is pretty intense and above all, HUGE. I’m not sure if the programming schedule for this year is out yet…
