In my celebration this morning that I finally scored tickets to The Flight of the Conchords in Toronto after a few unsuccessful attemps, I decided to listen to their tune “Inner City Pressure”. Part way through the song, I nearly started singing “Jizz in my Pants” from The Lonely Island. Could they be the same song? I’d like you to decide.

So what do you think? Do they sound strikingly similar? Or is it that both just remind me of Pet Shop Boys’ “West End Girls”?
Yeah…they’re both just wicked talented and poking fun at the Pet Shop Boys distinct sound. I was going to write that, and then I saw that you had said the same thing. Sometimes you’re better off dead there’s a gun in your hand it’s pointing at your head. Think you’re mad too unstable kicking in chairs and knocking down tables…
I love that they just know what’s cool.
They’re both parodies of cheesy dance-pop songs, which all sound the same to begin with, so it’s just a coincidence I’m sure.
