A recent announcement from La La Land has more than just a few people saying ewwwww instead of awwwww – Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter tied the knot on New Year’s Eve.
I first heard the news on January 9th via E! Online’s Kristin Dos Santos, and although I was surprised, I wasn’t shocked or disturbed by the development.
Apparently, they dated for a year and a half before exchanging vows in Big Sur, CA on December 31st. They make their first public appearance as husband and wife at The Golden Globe Awards.
Yes, I love my TV shows, and Dexter is among my favourites, but I’m not weirded out by this news. Co-stars get married all the time. I think that people freaking out over their nuptials are just a testament to what great actors Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter are, particularly how convincing they are as Dexter and Debra Morgan. And they’re not the first on-screen family members to pursue relationships off-screen.
What do you think? Should on-screen siblings not pursue relationships off-screen? Sound off in the comments below.
