Televixen News … and a Pic!

It’s been a while, but I thought I’d give you a quick update on what’s going on in The Televixen’s world.

Within the next few days, this blog is going to have its own, brand-spanking-new domain name, thetelevixen.com. I’m just in the process of getting it all set up.

Once that’s in place, I’ll return to more regular posts, including the rest of my coverage from Polaris 22 in July, and getting ready for Fan Expo 2008 later this month!

In the meantime, I thought I’d share a little story. In June, I was on vacation in beautiful Halifax, Nova Scotia when I got an e-mail from a friend at work saying that John Barrowman – you may know him as Doctor Who and Torchwood’s Captain Jack Harkness – would be stopping by the radio station as he promoted the reality show How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria? In case you didn’t know, he was a judge on the CBC program based out of Toronto that searched for a girl to take the coveted role of Maria in a new production of The Sound of Music. Alas, I was miles away, and missed it. I made a wish that he’d return, and sometimes, wishes do come true. He returned, and I was there! Here’s a pic of Captain Jack and I. Enjoy!
