Who is the Televixen?

So who exactly is the Televixen, and what is this blog all about?

The Televixen is me, Mel. Writer, editor, and radio industry employee. I am founder and editor of an online music magazine, Toonage, and a contributor over at TheTVShowBlog.

So what’s the Televixen’s blog all about? Well, I love television. We are in an age when some of the finest programs ever created are currently on our airwaves. How we watch our TV programming has changed drastically, from TV on DVD, to PVR, to online streaming. We are no longer confined to a dozen channels (although I do remember those days). My blog will be mainly about TV, but you might get a bit of music, film, media industry and tech babble as well. This will be my way to share my wacky musings, ponderings, and in-depth opinions on what I’m watching and news surrounding those shows. I’m also somewhat of a newbie to the world of Science Fiction & Fantasy television. It kind of started with Lost, but over the past 4 years, it’s expanded to Battlestar Galactica, Torchwood, Heroes, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, and more. I’ve made it my mission to prove that you don’t have to be a “geek” to really appreciate and get into these shows.

With that brief intro to the world of the Televixen, I invite you to come back frequently, comment often, and enjoy!
